Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the methodological potential of the concept of «local philosophical tradition» in the context of historical and philosophical research. The purpose of the article is to conceptualize the concept of «local philosophical tradition» as a tool for historical and philosophical analysis aimed at identifying and systematizing the unique features of regional philosophical traditions. The study is based on the analysis of a number of modern existing approaches to the problem of presentation of local intellectual phenomena. It is based on the concept of cultural transfer by M. Espagne, the method of microhistory by K. Ginzburg, and the idea of the cultural matrix by V. S. Stepin. It is shown how an appeal to the concept of «local philosophical tradition» allows avoiding the difficulties of presentism and helps inn reconstructing local complexes of ideas in all their specific originality and intellectual diversity.
