Abstract

Consistent support for the activities of the United Nations is one of the priority areas of China’s foreign policy. This article analyzes the significance of cooperation between China and African countries within the United Nations system in the context of strengthening global governance and promoting sustainable development in Africa. Special attention is paid to the historical support of the African bloc for the restoration of the Peopleʼs Republic of China’s representation in the UN, the mechanisms for coordinating positions and mutual support within UN bodies, and the role of China’s targeted funds within FAO, UNEP, and UNESCO for the African continent. In conclusion, the article underscores that the strengthening of the PRC’s position in the UN enhances its appeal to African partners, and that joint efforts are directed toward implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and amplifying the voice of developing countries in global governance.
