TRANSFORMATION OF SUBJECTIVITY IN THE DIGITAL AGE

Abstract
This article aims to identify the main challenges that humanity is facing in the digital age, as they are leading to the possible transformation of subjectivity. The European tradition of philosophical criticism of technology dates back to the categorical studies of Ancient Greek philosophy, but now humanity reached a completely new level of technological development, which problematizes human agency as the very possibility to represent the subject of activity. This situation actualizes such aspects as the threshold of adaptability of embodied consciousness and the development of emotional intelligence, which prompts the conclusion that the solution to the challenges of the digital age lies in the sphere of competent social forecasting rather than in the path of im-proving technologies as such.
