THEORETICAL JUSTIFICATION OF THE MODEL OF MARITAL BEHAVIOR OF PERSONALITY

Abstract
Modern society is going through a period of profound socio-cultural transformations that have a significant impact on the marital behavior of an individual. The article reveals the main problems characterizing the marital behavior of men and women at the present stage: an increase in the age of marriage; changes in value orientations; changes in modern ideas about family and marriage; an increase in the number of cohabiting couples; an increase in the number of divorces. A targeted and in-depth study of the marital behavior of people in modern social conditions is directly related to the formation of the demographic security of the country and the social stability of society. Based on the theoretical analysis, the concept of «marital behavior» is conceptualized. A theoretical model of marital behavior of a person is presented, based on a combination of the theories of dispositional regulation of behavior by V. A. Yadov, self-determination by E. Deasy and R. Ryan, and the ecological model by W. Bronfebrenner. The main types of marital behavior of an individual and types of marriage are identified and analyzed. Based on the results of the study, prospects for further empirical study of the marital behavior of men and women are outlined.
