METHODS OF ECONOMIC RISK MANAGEMENT IN THE CUSTOMS SPHERE OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

Abstract

Economic risks in the activities of the customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus can be considered as the likelihood of adverse consequences that may adversely affect the performance of customs functions, revenues to the state budget, as well as the sustainability of foreign economic activity. The main reasons affecting the emergence of economic risks in the customs sphere are changes in international trade, sanctions pressure, exchange rate instability, the international political situation, corruption, the development of illegal schemes for the movement of goods, and technical failures in customs systems. The analysis of the presence of economic risk factors in the customs sphere of the Republic of Belarus indicates the need to take measures to minimize them. The list of applied methods of managing economic risks in the customs sphere in the Republic of Belarus is presented when writing the article.
