LABOR RESOURCE POTENTIAL OF THE REGIONS OF BELARUS: GEODEMOGRAPHIC ASSESSMENT OF THE INCREASE OF THE RETIREMENT AGE

Abstract
The article presents a quantitative assessment of the impact of raising the generally established retirement age on the dynamics of the working-age population of the regions of Belarus. In 2025, the demographic effect of the pension reform ensured an increase in the number of the country's able-bodied population by 360.4 thousand people, or 7.3 %. The relative increase at the district level ranged from 5.2 % in Minsk to 13.6 % in Svisloch. It has been established that the territorial differentiation of the demographic effect mainly depends on the intensity of industrial development and the associated migration inflow, especially in the Soviet period, the location of vocational education institutions and the birth rate in previous periods. At all levels of the spatial hierarchy, the institutional factor contributed to a more significant increase in the female population.
